Every hospital coder in the country has to learn PHL-DRG now. Oriaris Academy is in research and planning, and interns will help shape it from the start, from the first interviews to the first lessons.

How it works

Five steps from application to first day

A screening, one conversation, and every term in writing before you start.

    Remote, with the person you would join, on the track and your goals

    Placement and agreements

    Your track and agreements in writing, plus any school MOA

    Week 1 orientation

    Starting with privacy and security training, before any work begins

Who can apply
Enrolled students who need OJT or practicum hours, and graduates within the last 12 months
Hours
240 to 480 hours over 8 to 12 weeks, matched to your school's requirement
Where
Remote first, with some approved in-person activities
Data
Synthetic, fully fictional data only. Never a real patient record
Supervision
A named supervisor, weekly check-ins and hours logged each week
Pay
Any allowance or compensation is set out in writing before you start
